The BeagleBone Black is a community-supported, educational and laboratory-oriented development board, produced by Texas Instruments in association with element14. The board is supported by an open community centered around element14 and the BeagleBoard.org Foundation. The board provides an inexpensive opportunity to develop a project based on the Linux operating system, and features a 1Ghz ARM Cortex-A8 Processor, 512 MB DDR3 RAM, 4GB on-board storage, and connectivity for GPIO, USB, microSD, Ethernet, and more. The ThingWorx Edge MicroServer Linux-ARM distribution may be installed on the BeagleBone Black, and this guide will follow the procedure for doing so, and using the board to connect to a remote ThingWorx
